EXPOSURE ASSESSMENT FOR PREVALENCE OF LUNG RELATED DISEASES IN COTTON OPERATIVES (GINNERS)

 This study was conducted on exposure assessment for the prevalence of lung related diseases in cotton ginners. The included 75 subjects age groups 15–65 years from similar socio-economic status. Fifty were exposed to dust, while 25 not exposed. pulmonary function test, peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR) performed diagnose presence any disorder. decrease PEFR showed an obstructive impairment. values (M = 272.80 SD 95.94) compared with unexposed 545.00 101.55). difference between two significant, t(df) -11.360, p 0.000. main results revealed that dust had more respiratory disorders than (p<0.01). chronic bronchitis, occupational asthma, inhalation fever, and cough 42%, 18%, 34%, 6% 80%, respectively among vs (0%) unexposed. It concluded 52% ginners all types byssinosis no prevailed subjects.
